The Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim played a memorable knock of 72 off just 35 balls to help his team beat Sri Lanka in the Nidahas Trophy. With the help of Rahim’s unbeaten 72, Bangladesh chased down 215 runs with 2 balls to spare.
Coming to the match, batting first Sri Lanka posted a huge total of 214 with help of Kusal Perera and Kusal Mendis’ quick-fire fifty. Bangladesh openers Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das gave a flying start to their team while chasing a massive total. Then the dependable Mushfiqur Rahim destroyed the Sri Lankan bowling attack as he smashed 5 boundaries and 4 sixes in his innings.
When the tigers needed 9 off last 6 balls, Rahim smashed a boundary and couple of doubles to hit the winning run. He finished the game with a memorable celebration, which many fans decribed it as a ‘Nagin dance’.
